Wild boar seen chasing man in Poland
A man escaped unscathed after a wild boar chased him around a hospital parking lot in southwestern Poland, a news agency reported recently.
Cameras monitoring hospital grounds in the city of Legnica captured a boar roaming the area early Wednesday, and then crossing the path of an unidentified man. When the man tried to flee, the boar pursued him around a parked car until it apparently got bored, hospital spokesman Rafal Pilch told the news agency PAP.
"The man probably could not believe his eyes, and took a while before he started to run," Pilch was quoted as saying. "The animal chased him around one of the cars nearby."
The man did not need hospital treatment.
A hospital guard on duty who saw the recording confirmed the report to The Associated Press, but could not explain how a boar made its way into the center of the city, which has about 100,000 residents. |
