Norway, Poland sign agreement on EEA funds
Norway and Poland have signed anagreement on how Norway's contributions towards the expansion of the EU shall be used in Poland, the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporaqtion (NRK) reported on Friday.
Norway is not a member of the EU, but according to the EuropeanEconomic Agreement (EEA), Norway will contribute large sums of financial aid to the new EU members.
The money will be used to reduce the social and economic differences within the EU community, the agreement stated. Poland is the largest of the new member countries.
In return for its financial contributions, Norwegian exports and industry gains entrance to the EU markets.
